Amusing English in Japan
This post will be updated regularly/when I can get time to put more photos on. Despite children learning English from a very young age, pronunciation can be atrocious (katakana English - bless) and speaking and aural comprehension is pretty low due to the majority of schools focussing on written stuff. The English proficiency exams are also full of really unnecessary language. But as my mother always says, "What to do..."

My host nephew Shoma's toy called Cranky. I think that's its actual name, not an English boo-boo. It's from the Thomas the Tank Engine franchise. In the background is Shoma. The crane's name is apt for some of Shoma's moods! |
