I've taken a few shots from my Oz collection of photos to illustrate the interesting wildlife I encountered while in Oz.
This is Cybill the ferret. She is the equivalent human age of 85 years old. She's quite an amusing creature, even if she does enjoy running up people's trouser legs - as I discovered.
Non-meat eaters may want to avert your eyes for this one. This is a dish of chilli crab. It was really yummy. We had it at Jimmy's Chinese restaurant in Canberra.

Ooh, fancy hotel! The lobby of the Sheraton On The Park hotel. NOICE.

This HUUUUUUGE stork popped into the Sydney fish markets on Saturday morning. I don't know where it parked the baby it was carrying though..

I'm pretty sure this strawberry was genetically modified. It was ENORMOUS, not to mention extremely sweet - as if it had been dunked in sugar syrup.

Wellingtonians used to being told not to walk on certain parts of their Botanical Gardens, being told not to touch stuff in the gardens and being told not to PLAY FRISBEE in the gardens (hmmm??) would be surprised by this Ozzie call to (literally) embrace the Sydney Botanical Gardens. The main bit of text says: “Please walk on the grass... Please feel free to smell the roses, hug the trees, talk to the birds, sit on the benches and picnic on the lawns.”

“Not really bat bats.” says Brett. Quite cute and fluffy things but apparently very bad for the plant life - we weren't allowed to feed them.
