Dinner @ The Nishiguchis' / September 5

I recently discovered the infrared capabilities of both my phone and the laptop I've borrowed - so YAY!  More photo fun for ye!

So here are a few photos from my evening with my former host family The Nishiguchis.  These were taken on September 5, when the first of a few scary tremors (imagine you're surfing but on dry land) hit Osaka.. 3 or 4 biggish ones in 3 days I think it was..

former host dog Lily! This is Lily trying her best to get to the BBQ-ed goodness about 40cms away from her.  She's still the same genki (lively) wee thing I remember from 6 years ago.. a little less skinny now which is good to see.

yakitori in the rain Here's my Nishiguchi dad making yakitori in the pouring rain.  You can JUST see a chair outside.  We had plans to have a lovely summer BBQ outside until it bucketed down.

earthquake weather Maybe it's a Wellingtonian thing, but we have a saying that goes: "You know what this is... EARTHQUAKE WEATHER."  Inexplicably, there are some days in Welly where there's a collective feeling that there'll be an earthquake on that day.  Usually nothing comes of it thankfully!

food food food! Yummy food goodness.  As we enjoyed our meal, we heard thunder and saw lightning and THEN the earthquake started.  Oh yeah, definitely armageddon styles.  This photo was also taken using my camera.. not bad huh?
