MADOKA'S FLAT, FUCHU CITY, TOKYO, JAPAN / Lost at the norikae

I experienced getting lost at a norikae (train transfer station) yesterday evening. Fortunately I managed to get myself to my destination on time.

I have been eating VERY well these past few days. Unfortunately I haven't been able to upload any photos but hopefully that'll come soon. One incredibly cool place I went to on Tuesday night was an izakaya joint (similar to Kazu in Wellington) but of course, authentic to the max.

I also went to a very cheap and yummy kaiten zushi/sushi train place for lunch yesterday. So gooood...

It still doesn't feel like I'm in Japan. It feels like I've merely stumbled into the Japan Town part of Wellington or Sydney where although I don't know what's going on, I'm managing. I woke up yesterday morning to the sounds of major winds and thought I was back in Wellington. I tried to see if it was wind I was hearing so I pulled the curtains back. Unfortunately I couldn't see any trees but further investigation found me SEVERAL trees and yes, it was pretty windy yesterday!

Madoka has a rather cute dog but it's apparently quite ferocious so I don't know what to feed it - hopefully it doesn't eat foreign visitors. This morning it opened the bedroom door and promptly sat on me.

I have met some very interesting people including a rather famous hairdresser - looks like I got me a haircut sorted!

Now, hopefully I can remember where I put my toothpaste... hmm..
