Two Reasons To Visit New York
So in April, S & M came from Noo Yoik to spend 10 days in Japan. I was lucky enough to have them spend it in the Kansai region - even staying along my train line!
Here are some photos from our day in Kyoto:
Here we are in Arashiyama. Thanks to M for the photo!
A cute sign for a doll house in Kyoto.
I think we were in the area of Tenryuji when I spotted this VERY OLD SKOOL beer vending machine in a residential area. I found out that the woman is from a very famous beer commercial back in the.. 50s? 60s?
Night sakura viewing at Kiyomizu-dera.
S & M are two bee-oo-tiful friends who I had a great time with. Lots of laughs! Hope to see you soon!

Hey Sam,
Glad you had fun with your Noo-Yoiker friends :)
How were the blossoms at Kiyomizu Dera? We were down there with my Dad about a month ago and missed out on them :(
Mel! You shoulda given me a shout when you were down :)
Even at night, as you can see from my fuzzy cellphone pic, the Kiyomiz blossoms were awesome!
You can always catch the Hokkaido ones.. in a few months - I hear it's STILL snowing up there!
