Blood Suckers
It's slightly ironic that I hav been bitten by a fat, stripey mosquito, while waiting in front of a blood donation van.

I'm scared to think how you can describe it so well...
I've narrowed down my mozzie species to two kinds.
One is the smaller kind, that leaves an itch that itches for aaaaaages.
The other, said fat stripey fellah, leaves a big, ugly lookin swell on point of entry, but it doesn't itch after about 10 minutes.
Guess I must be one pretty tasty buffer of ニュージー牛 (NZ beef) to these mozzies..
It's so funny actually...
Every year up to this one (am crossing my オーストラリア牛 fingers) I've been bitten savagely, but this year...hardly at all.
Now that I think about it, maybe the pregnancy has something to do with it...
Strange huh?
Apparently it's got to do with the level of Vitamin B12 in your blood. The mosquitos can 'smell' high levels and home in.
Also, if you're dirty and smelly it disguises the homing-smell.
Does Vitamin B12 = nitrogen? I've also heard that high levels of nitrogen = yumminess for mozzies..
Great...soooo basically I need to take a few more showers and then I'll be back to sweet-smelling, mozzie-attracting goodness :(
Hehe, maybe they were getting paid! :)
