Discovery Sam — Things I Probably Should Already Know

WARNING TO AUNTY M: A picture of a BABY CHICK follows the text below. You have been warned!

So the other day, J-Ho and I were pondering over chickens and eggs. We were wondering what causes an egg to end up in your fridge, and what causes it to turn into a fluffy, baby chick.

I set upon finding this out and discovered that *adjusts glasses*:

Like humans, hens pop eggs out periodically. These can always be eaten and won't contain a developing baby chick.

The only time an egg will contain a baby chick is if a rooster mates with Mama Hen.

Aunty M, I'm not sure if you're over your fear of baby chicks yet, but here is a picture of one anyway:
