I can hear you all wondering: "Is that a giant chilli walking among the crowds in Shibuya?"

Dear friends, my answer is a resounding YES.

The giant chilli is the mascot for Hot Pepper, a food/beauty/lifestyle directory that lists restaurants, salons, continuing education schools etc. for particular areas every month. Good info, lotsa discounts. And funny photos.

This advertisement is for a hair and makeup salon. This is the girl BEFORE:

Apologies for the crappy photo quality, but she looks kinda all right, right? Sweet, friendly, natural.. What's there to improve? Right? RIGHT??

So this is the girl AFTER her little makeover -- supposedly new and improved:

NOW she looks like a creepy 11 year old Little Miss America Beauty Pageant contestant who may or may not have quietly bludgeoned her fellow contestants to death with a pair of white Mary Janes.
