The Salary Women Only Party (J)

A selection of photos from Ms. Usui's ROCKIN' party. I had SUCH a good time with my other workmates. And, naturally thanks to Ms. Usui's husband, Musa, and his drinks mixing skills, I, I have to say, was FLUENT. It was such an awesome feeling to be confident, even if just for a few hours. Maybe I should take shots of Ouzo at work..

碓井さんの最高パーティーで撮った写真のいくつ。他の同僚と一緒で、超楽しかったやで！！ムサ(碓井さんのご主人)の美味しいカクテルのおかげで、自分のこと言っているけど、私は結構ぺらぺらでしゃべってたよ。数時間しかなくっても、その数時間で余裕を持って日本語をしゃべるのが本当に満足した。仕事でいっきにＯＵＺＯと言うアルコール飲んだらどうかしら・・

Musa made about four different types of BEEEAUTIFUL curries and Ms. Usui a delicious salad and appetisers. I apologise for no photos of those, but I was too busy stuffing my face.

ムサは四種類のうま～いカレーを作っていただいた。碓井さんはものすごく美味しいサラダとスターター。残念ながら、ガツガツで食べちゃって、写真を撮らなかった。

Musa and Ms. Usui have a fabulous flat. Their apartment block is above a convenience store and a liquor store - what more could you want! Their neighbours have changed four times, probably due to the wicked parties they host. There's also the infamous story of an ambulance being called one year. I'd rather have them as noisy neighbours than my current neighbour. At least with Ms. Usui and Musa I can always just invite myself over! "Hidey hi neighbourino!"

ムサと碓井さんの家が本当に素敵。マンションの下にコンビニとお酒やもあるし・・もっと最高な場所はないと思う。隣に住んでいる人達は四回も引越ししたことある。ムサと碓井さんのよく行っていただいてる有名なパーティーの為かな・・ある救急車が呼ばれた話もよく聞いている。私の現在のうるさい隣に住んでいる人より、碓井さん達の隣に住んだら絶対いい！さいやくでも、｢おじゃまします」と言えて、パーティーに参加できるじゃん・・

As the drinks were free AND yummy, I made the mistake of mixing my drinks - and I don't mean in the cocktail sense. It was this guy here, the Okinawan tequila-like drink (complete with SNAKEY INSIDE!!), that led me to finish the night off with about 3 litres of water.

飲み物が無料だけではなく、美味しくて、色んな種類を混ぜて、ごくっで飲んじゃった。こいつのおかげで、(ヘビも入っている沖縄のお酒)パーティー終わるまで、ずっとお水しか飲めなかった。肝臓かわいそう～

There was also a brief moment of dancing with Mapi to disco (and Led Zep) on the balcony and a homemade strawberry shortcake.

手作りいちごショートケーキも出てきたし、ベランダでまぴとＤＩＳＣＯとLed Zeppellinの曲を聴いてちょっと踊ってたこともあった。

Oh what a night!
